Techtextil North America’s odd-year trade show held recently in Raleigh, N.C., once again disproved the myth that size matters. The number of exhibitors was on the small side at 165, but the 3,185 visitors in attendance represented an increase of 52 percent over the Chicago event in 2017.

The 35th IFAI Outlook® Conference was held May 6-7, 2018, at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Ga. The event is co-organized by the Narrow Fabrics Institute and the U.S. Industrial Fabrics Institute both divisions of the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI).

Attendees heard from multiple speakers on a variety of topics under the theme “USA Textile Technologies: New Materials, Design and Applications.

Textile Machinery Association recently held an events in Charlotte showcase German  technology to industry decision-makers. Approximately 25 VDMA member companies presented practice-oriented technology topics along the entire textile chain during the one-day event held November 6, 2017.

The Synthetic Yarn and Fabric Association’s (SYFA’s) Fall Conference took place October 26-27, 2017, at the Sheraton Charlotte Airport Hotel in Charlotte. Attendees heard from multiple speakers on a variety of topics. The association also took time to honor Alasdair Carmichael who has announced his retirement.
